Hudson is dead, long live Jenkins
I was relieved to read that the
bizarre
saga of Oracle's assertion of their non-rights to the Hudson
continuous integration server has been resolved. In a
detailed article at
hudson-labs Andrew Bayer describes the decision to rename
'Hudson' to 'Jenkins'. Kohsuke and the community were remarkably
patient in their attempts to resolve this with Oracle. It's sad
that it's come to this, but given Oracle's character, it was
inevitable. Oracle is certainly consistent in maintaining their
reputation.
