I finaly made it to Prague
Unlike my previous attempt getting across the Czech border into Prague was easy this time. I came from a couple of days in Munich at a pair of Java developer conferences. The engineering team for NetBeans is mostly here in Prague. We've been having architecture meetings for the past week, thrashing out plans for the next version (5.0). It's looking pretty exciting. They have a prototype GUI layout editor that looks very slick. The prototype that stole the show was the J2ME debugger: they showed debugging a live J2ME application on a Sony/Ericcson phone via a bluetooth link - no more emulators!
The building in the backgroud of this picture is the Sun engineering building in Prague. It's right next to a park that contains a large number of cool sculptures, including the bronze chia head I'm sitting in front of.
